Why you shouldn’t rush into advanced sewing class
Why are you rushing into advanced class when you can’t make a simple straight stitch.
You know how to pedal a sewing machine and that suddenly qualifies you as a professional? Now you get to skip all the goodies in beginners and intermediate class and rush over to advanced class just because you want to learn how to make corsets and wedding dresses.
Chai!
Calm down.
Take it easy.
Climb the first step before you climb the second step.
Count 1 before you count 2.
Don’t accept that double promotion from nursery 1 to JSS1 just because they said that you are smart.
Learn.
Learn how to run different kinds of stitches
Learn how to cut basic clothes…not just kimono and umbrella tops.
Learn how to make simple well fitted blouses 👚 even without padding.
Those are your baby steps.
Trust me, they will help you when you eventually get ready to learn corsetry, wedding dresses and the “big big stuff” you clamor for.
If your foundation is faulty, you will have an expensive struggle with the big stuff and oh! You will pay.
This is intermediate class.
It’s like our secondary school at EREX.

HOW TO INCREASE SPEED OF SEWING PRODUCTION/OUTPUTS
When working on anything production, 3 systems are guaranteed to help you get fast and reliable products.
1) Reward system - You promise your team members something in return if they succeed in completion of a certain product by a certain time.
Watch them massively produce because now, they have something to look forward to
2) Supervision/ Monitoring system.
You must have line supervisors at every stage of your production to monitor and keep the team members in check.
Some persons will start pressing their phones once supervisors step out or start playing around but if they knew they were being watched via a camera or physically being supervised, some persons will behave better and speed up.
3) Monitoring system + Reward system.
This is the sweetest and best method.
